i would have understand if she only doubted a bit and try to confirmed it with seiji
wouldn’t normally people blindly believe if they were shown results?
is she appraised him and seen the false info
wouldn’t that make it more certain that he taught her since he is hiding his ability
i understand belittling someone with appearance
i would’ve understand if Seiji is the one who answered her but he’s not
and my point is
if you are the that person
and you want to improve yourself
you would believe the person with visible results would you not?
even in normal circumstances
example if you are dieting
your friend lost weight by 10 kilos in one month
and your friend told you his/her method is something you don’t expect
would you think your friend is joking?
normaly, people wouldl believe in wishful thinking
because they want to believe they can also have the same results if they try
you forget its a different world where some things could have differed from here, for example something that may be common sense here isnt there, etc. also that world seems to be highly judgmental based off of if you are a noble or not not to mention how strong you are so i can see her underestimating him, on a side note that is actually a good thing if he ever gets into a fight having your enemy underestimate you can work in your favor.
